The Bilbao Summit will host the General Assembly Meeting of the Global Cities Dialogue

The members of the Steering Committee of the Global Cities Dialogue, the large international network of cities for the information society and sustainable development, met in Prague on 1 April 2005 to approve the GCD Action Plan 2005-2006 and to announce that Bilbao will host the next General Assembly Meeting of the GCD within the framework of the World Summit of Cities and Local Authorities, to be held in November this year.

Global Cities Dialogue is one of the most important groupings on the planet, as it brings together almost 200 cities from the 5 continents.

The Steering Committee confirmed its commitment with the Bilbao Summit and gave its officially support to the LORIS Declaration by signing it.
