Meeting between the Basque President Ibarretxe and Kofi Annan in Geneva
At the World Summit for the Information Society
The Secretary-General of the UN, Kofi Annan, and the President of the Basque Country, Juan José Ibarretxe, met in Geneva (Switzerland) during the World Summit for the Information Society. The Basque President, who was the Chairman of IT4ALL, submitted this international network project on electronic technologies to Annan, in addition to the new World Association of Regions for the Information Society. The Mayor of Curitiba (Brazil), one representative of the organization of cities CITYNET and the Mayors of Lyon (France) and Geneva (Switzerland) also took part in the meeting between Ibarretxe and the Secretary-General of the UN.
