Why should a Local Authority take part in the Bilbao Summit?

• Because it represents an opportunity to take part in a global reflection process, the World Summit on the Information Society, which is going to establish a turning point as regards how to approach a new era of economic and social development based on the Information and Knowledge Society, and the role of Local Authorities when faced with large worldwide challenges.
